Constellation3D mixed media 2017
materials - cooper, copper wire, liver of sulfur, and paste wax Artist StatementI was motivated by my practice piece and inspired me to do my final piece. I sorta just put holes in the practice piece and once I looked at it I had a good idea of stars and there constellations. I figured why not make something classic and nice to wear so I choose part of Leo the lion I choose this constellation because it is my horoscope and many of my family member's also. I choose blue to wrap around the links because it reminded me of the night time and I turned it black because the sky is black with out the starts brightening the sky at night the blue kinda brightened it up a little. I used copper to most of this piece and no new techniques that are interesting. I made this into an ankle bracelet because I wanted it to be unique and everyone wears necklaces but its like everyone forgot about ankle bracelets. I am very proud of this bracelet and I think it looks better then what my mind had set it to be.

Artist Statement
I choose this project for my installation because its not normally something you see hanging up somewhere. This project was arranged in so many different ways and changed up so many times to make it what is is now. the main idea of this project is"words hurt" the girl represents someone who has been called something that has hurt her. and she is see through because people don't understand how it makes people feel when they something mean to someone else. I let students from my school write on this piece a word that hurt them that someone has called them. If you take a long look at this piece you start to think about how many people get hurt from these harsh words. This piece is connected to me because I have been called some pretty bad names and it hurt me I wanted to see what others had to think and say about my piece I wanted others to think about the next time they say something mean to someone. I am very proud of this art piece because its something important to me and i'm glad it turned out the way I wanted it to and im also glad that other people interacted with this piece as well.

Artist statement
This piece was mostly brought by my imagination and love for color and lights. This is an octagon with a pattern of squares on it and when you turn the light on inside it, it puts the light through the whole to make a pattern on a background. This piece resemble back to my constellation project. If you look at it it looks like the stars in the night time. I'm really proud of this piece because I got through some problems I had with it and I never thought I could actually make something like this and I love how it turned out.
